Mundan Sanskar
The sacred first haircut of a child — Mundan Sanskar — performed with Vedic rituals to bless the child with health, intelligence, and longevity.
Mundan (or Chudakarma) is one of the 16 essential Hindu samskaras (rites of passage). Performed between the ages of 1-3 years (odd years preferred), it involves the ritual shaving of the child's head for the first time, marking a spiritual cleansing.
