The Power of Rudrabhishek
Among all the rituals dedicated to Lord Shiva, Rudrabhishek holds the highest place of honor. The word "Rudrabhishek" combines "Rudra" (one of Shiva's names, meaning the fierce one) and "Abhishek" (sacred bathing).
The Shri Rudram — the hymn chanted during Rudrabhishek — is from the Krishna Yajurveda and is considered one of the most powerful Vedic mantras. Even hearing it is said to cleanse the soul of sins.
